The Beowulf Manuscript: Complete Texts and the Fight at ~ The Beowulf MS text is good to have, as all the poems in that MS are about monsters, and there are too many very poor paperback editions of Beowulf. It is nice to have a reference edition. It is liberal in some respects, replacing the confusing second Beowulf with Beow: it is conservative in that the four (inadvertent, IMO) masculinisations of Grendel's mother are not discussed, which is a pity.
